In times of the pandemic, a secluded getaway home proves to be the need of the hour. In such spaces, where accessibility of resources and cost considerations prove to be a challenge, the technology of 3D printing can be largely appreciated.
Our proposal of a 3D printed compact home in the egg-shell form derived from from form of the igloo, which is both structurally stable and adaptable to various weather conditions, suits the need of the current situation where the entire home can be created using a single material in a cost effective manner along with decreased use of labour.
The added benefit to this method is the flexibility to achieve forms which others has barriers in terms of materials and technicalities.

Our proposal of the compact home in the egg-shell form is derived from the form of the igloo, which is both structurally stable and adaptable to various weather conditions.
Integrated within this home is the 90sqft compact kitchen, designed with simplicity and functionality as the core elements.
The focal point of the kitchen is the central island counter, which forms a part of the 3D printed core of the home.
It's fluid shape enables easy and unhindered movement around the kitchen and brings together an open and interactive arena along with the rest of the space.
A slashed, cylindrical chimney set right above the island counter visually complements the frame of the compact kitchen.

The Nexus Kitchen is monolithic in appearance not bound by time or space, embracing free thought and expression while making the act of cooking not just convenient but also a fun experience.

The idea of the Absolute Interactive Kitchen comes with undefined cooktop boundaries which doubles as a preparation area with controlled temperature settings.

The concealed functions within the island counter operates with the use of motion sensors making combi-ovens, baking and cooking accessories which are concealed within the counter accessible with just a wave away from the counter.

Integrated development and use of Kuka robotics in terms of convenience for obtaining any ingredient to setting its functioning for preparing food with saved recipes as well as maintaining the hygiene of the space are few of the highlighted features.

Seamless sinks with concealed waste management systems integrated with air purifiers, interactive screens for the pantry and storage area where the quantities and nutritional value of the items stored can be obtained, make the kitchen an absolutely interactive one.

𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙤𝙧𝙮 - 𝙐𝙣𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙩 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝙆𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙣

Inspired by GLASITALIA, the key feature of this open kitchen is the central
interactive zone we have inserted for the client to use as a preparation space,
learning new ways to cooking via screen projection and scanning option on the
Hachi Infinite M1, or just aiding the children in finishing their homework!
Made completely out of tinted glass and metal frame, this visual treat also
doubles as a customized surface mount chandelier that provides task-lighting for
anyone using the space, young and old alike. We believe the kitchen should be
a space that is gender-neutral, flexible and liberating for one to love it and what
they are making with it.
